Fine WoodWorking Essentials - 4 Session Workshop!
Workshop Sessions + Times: April 1st (5:30-8:30pm), 8th (5:30-8:30pm), 15th (5:30-8:30pm) & 22nd (5:30-8:30pm)

The Fine Woodworking Essentials Level 1 class at Made In Johnstown is comprised of four sessions each three hours in length. Over the course of the four sessions, students will learn impressive fine woodworking techniques, specialized joinery skills, and small-to-large machinery usage! By the end of this workshop, students will have gained the woodworking skillsets to build take their woodworking projects to the next level!
Topics in Level 1 will include:
1. Small Tool, Large Equipment and woodshop safety
2. Types of wood and their characteristics.
3. Joinery including pocket screws, glue, biscuit and dowel joinery, cutting and use of plugs and more
4. Operation of saws, planers, sanders, routers and other machinery
5. Working with types of finishes including: water and oil based finished, natural oil finishes
