Intro to 3D Design & 3D Printing!

$50.00

This class introduces students to 3D design and modeling using Tinkercad, emphasizing the creation of models for 3D printing. Students will also explore free online resources for pre-designed models and learn beginner-friendly modification techniques.
This class will also cover how to use 3D slicing software to turn 3D designs into the file format that 3D printers use to print a project, including how to design supports for 3D printing and correct errors in designs to ready designs for 3D printing. Additionally, students will learn how to correctly use a 3D printer from start to finish, including uploading the file to the 3D printer to cleaning up a 3D printed project after it’s completed printing. This class will lastly feature many tips/tricks for ensuring successful 3D prints and resources for continued learning outside of the class. At the end of this class, students will leave with their own 3D printed piece!
